By the way, is there anything like a true democracy? How will it look like? Is it when there will be another party in power apart from CCM and Ukawa? Do we need another party for the sake of making a comparison with CCM?

Are political parties immune from those who lead them?

If there is democracy then most definitely there should be a true version of it.

For us to know how it looks like we need to genuinely experience it and for us to experience it we need the current party out of the way and see what others can offer, maybe where we have reached is the furthest a 49 year old CCM could take us.

The aspect of immunity of political parties is out of question till we will have true democracy as it spreads from parties to the state.

the depiction is in your mind. We need to learn to accept failure even if we love blindly and CCM as a party has failed. He could have been from UDP for all I care but the fact is no visible change will ever come to this country for as long as CCM is still operating with the same outdated methods of dictating the course of leadership. Argue as you may but that is the reality. Just do a little comparison of when Magufuli started and where we are now.
Just a point of clarification I don't support UKAWA because to me they are a product of CCM, all we need is true democracy in this country which will only be attained by the exiting of CCM. We need a point of comparison different from CCM. Right now all bad examples we have are of CCM, let some other party come, if they mess then we at least will have something to think CCM better of.

Haya tuseme upo sawa kwamba wamefeli na ushajikatia tamaa hakuna zuri litatoka kwao, what is your preference, an alternative solution, ACT maybe, au anzisha chama kama vipi boss.

You must be political affiliated kutamka iyo kauli, ila kama huna side kama ulivosema, I would advice you not to give up on stuffs to that extent. It is not healthy, tupo duniani with men, errors are inevitable. Just dont give up easily.

In the last 30 years, Tanzanians have been taken/'tested' through different types of leadership ranging from autocracy to liberal democracy....its fair to conclude that Tanzanians still need democracy spiced-up with "good intentioned" dictatorship just like the way Tanzanian drivers need tarmac roads spiced-up with "good intentioned" speed-bumps instead of road signs.

I beg to differ, it is highly incorrect saying there has been variations in leadership in Tanzania. The only changes we have at most gone through have been leaders as persons; Nyerere to Magufuli today. And political terminologies i.e, One Party state to multi parties alias 'democracy'. But in the actual sense the mode of leadership has been constant and similar all through. The fair conclusion is that Tanzania needs true democracy and multi partism in every essence of it and not to remain as mere terminologies. It is high time those in the helm of leadership (CCM) get to accept and realize that they have exhausted all their abilities to steer the country into an upgraded version of the today's world.
Not to sound biased or politically motivated but the truth is the current president would have been what we always needed to get the true change required but that would only be possible if he wasn't on the rein of CCM. Be as it may, CCM hold the final say in the course of the presidency.
What we truly need is the voice of the masses to be heard, the acceptance of those in leadership that their time is up and realization that true democracy is the acknowledgment and respect of other people's opinions even if they differ from your own.

Jamalm335..in addition to your point...change that is needed starts from family level then individual level then the masses as a whole.these have to go hand in hand with transparent politics.and the concerns of masses have to be heard.otherwise if they are not heard..the very same masses will resort to political hooliganism which will be very dangerous....for everyone..
