Utakumbuka nilikuambia kuwa kuna mtu aliniomba ruksa akutukane nami

Baada ya wewe kurejea tena hapa Majlis na matusi mara ya pili na mie kukupa
jibu hilo hapo juu karejea tena na ombi lile lile...

Nimemkatalia lakini nimemuahidi kukuandika na kukupa maelezo lao kwa ufupi

Ikiwa umefuatilia darsa langu kuhusu tatizo lililotokea katika kuandika historia ya
TANU ndani ya wana TANU wenyewe akiwemo Abdul Sykes, Julius Nyerere,
Saadan Abdu Kandoro
na Mwalimu Kihere utaona kuwa ilifika mahali Abdul
Sykes
jina lake liliondolewa kabisa katika historia ya TANU na likawa halitajwi wala
kuhusishwa na siasa za kupigania uhuru wa Tanganyika.

Ikawa hata ilipoandikwa historia ya TANU na Kivukoni College mwaka wa 1981
haikuelezwa Nyerere alichukua uongozi wa TAA 1953 kutoka kwa nani.

Lakini mimi nilipoandika kitabu cha Sykes nilieleza kwa kirefu uchaguzi wa 1953
wa urais wa TAA kati ya Abdul Sykes na Nyerere uliofanyika Ukumbi wa Arnautoglo
tarehe 17 April, uchaguzi ambao ndiyo ilikuwa ngazi ya Nyerere ya kwanza kupanda
na kuwa kiongozi wa watu wa Tanganyika.

Abdul alikwenda kwa Hamza kutaka ushauri na neno lake la mwisho kuhusu Nyerere
kuachiwa kiti cha rais wa TAA na Abdul 1953 na mwaka unaofuatia waunde TANU.

Hamza alimwambia Abdul kuwa yeye hajabadili mawazo na alimtaka Abdul amsaidie
Nyerere kushinda uchaguzi ule.
