Tanganyika Occupation of Zanzibar should end ASAP

It's been 58 yrs. now Tanganyika have taken away the indepence of our country Zanzibar. We got our indepence from Britain and became a member of the United Nations. Kenya also became a member of the UN on the same day, As a member of UN, we fall under every security council resolution determining the status of occupied nations. We are urging members of the security council to condemn this occupation and give back zanzibar it's place in the UN.

The basis of Union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar, is not Tanganyika!, it is Zanzibar!. It is not true that Tanganyika has taken away the independence of Zanzibar!, the truth is Tanganyika and Zanzibar got United by union into a one nation, Tanzania. Both nations lost their sovereignty and hence they doesn't exist anymore!. The basis of the union is Zanzibar and not Tanganyika.

The union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar that produced Tanzania is not a mixture such that you can separate them and get back Tanganyika and Zanzibar, the union is fused together like a chemical reaction that gets a new compound Tanzania, in such a way you can never separate it and get back the original ingredients!. It's the union for life, forever!.

Tanganyika will continue to occupy Zanzibar until the Zanzibari are able to stand alone in matters of good governance, unity and financial budgets.

Among the many offers and privileges we give the Zanzibari is the freedom to occupy and own land in the mainland, to undertake paid studies, be employed and become leaders, including at high ranking positions such as ministers and president.

People from the mainland always complain of seeing no benefit from the Union and only consider the Union as a generous grant to the people of Zanzibar who would otherwise be severely impoverished without the Union.
