Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Management
- Carry out all installations, configurations and maintenance of office systems and applications to ensure that all staff are connected and are able to work optimally.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all computer hardware in JHCL working places (Head Office and Mine Operations)
- Ensure that IT infrastructure is scalable and capable of meeting the growing needs of the business operations.
- Conduct repair and routine preventive maintenance of ICT infrastructure
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and systems from cyber threats, breaches, and unauthorized access.
- Coordinate the maintenance under warrant, preventive maintenance and systems upgrades as required in order to meet the organisational standards at ensuring safety of information is adhered to in accordance to the ICT policies.
- Monitor network traffic and respond to security incidents promptly.
- Carry out regular anti-virus, Ms Windows’s security updates and data backup to ensure a secure system to avoid any security breech.
- Develop, test, and integrate in-house systems, including the quality assurance procedures for system operations.
- Manage and update software applications used for business operations,
- Assist in the roll-out of new applications, system back-up and carry out initial tests to ensure that the applications are compatible as per the JHCL required standards.
- Ensure all software licenses are up to date and compliant.
- Administer and maintain databases used in mining operations, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Develop the JHCL data backup, storage and retrieval system and update regularly. Data Management and Disaster Recovery
- Oversee data collection, storage, and analysis systems, including operational data. • Implement data governance and data quality standards.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT systems to minimize downtime in case of emergencies or disasters.
- Develop and implement service level agreements ( SLA) for IT user service provision. • Track, manage and effectively resolve IT incidents as reported by users using the ticketing system • Provide technical support and assistance to employees and contractors in resolving IT-related issues.
- Provide IT support and connectivity solutions for remote mining sites and exploration activities. • Train staff IT best practices and security protocols, including effective use of software and hardware. ICT Operations
- Prepare and manage the IT department budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control. • Ensure that IT systems and processes comply with industry regulations and standards, including data privacy and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate the procurement of IT equipment and software, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of all consumables used in the maintenance of the computer systems in the organisation.

Academic and Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/computer engineering/information technology/Electronics &Communications/Software Engineering or any related field from a recognized institution • Relevant ICT Certification such as Cisco is an added advantage.
- A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the ICT field

- Conduct interviews and facilitate the hiring process for various positions within the mining. Employee Relations:
- Handle employee relations issues and mediate conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Address grievances and conduct investigations when necessary.
- Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills. • Coordinate with the approved training providers to deliver relevant courses, as per the developed training and development plan.

Financial Reporting
- Consolidate financial data from across the organisation businesses and prepare a trial balance on financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly financial management account report on organisation financial position for management review.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, specific to organisation operations.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes that comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the mining industry, including tax regulations, royalty payments, and financial disclosure standards.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting and reporting standards relevant to the sector and advise the immediate supervisor in scenario of any changes.

- Assess and accounting for impairment and conducting periodic assessment review and advise on disposal of fixed asset based on the assessment.
- Generate month end general ledger reconciliation as well as Bank reconciliation. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies relating to financial transaction in a timely manner.

Academic and Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Professional certification in the field of accounting such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years previous experience in financial reporting ,preferably within the mining industry or related sector
- Knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Proficiency in financial analysis techniques to interpret data, identify trends, and provide insights into financial performance.

- Analyse geological data to understand the composition, structure, and quality of ore deposits. • Collaborate with geologists to assess the feasibility of mining projects and identify suitable extraction methods.
- Develop detailed mining plans and layouts, considering safety, environmental impact, and economic factors.
- Determine the best mining methods, equipment selection, and drilling/blasting techniques for efficient resource extraction.
- Oversee daily mining operations, ensuring adherence to the mining plan and safety protocols. • Monitor production rates, equipment performance, and ore quality to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Follow through the timely maintenance of machineries to ensure continuous production as per the set plan.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

- At least 5 years of experience in mining engineering, including both underground and open-pit operations.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in the mining industry.

- Identify potential investment opportunities in the mining sector, including exploration, development, and acquisition projects.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, feasibility studies, and valuation assessments. • Evaluate the financial viability and potential returns on investment (ROI) for mining and other assigned projects.
- Perform comprehensive due diligence on mining projects, including technical, financial, legal, and environmental aspects.
- Assess risks associated with investments and develop risk mitigation strategies for decision making.
