Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has signed a contract extension at Bayern Munich that will keep him with the Bundesliga champions
until the summer of 2023.

A new two-year deal has been handed to the experienced frontman, whose previous deal expired this summer.
 
Hansi Flick enjoyed working with "phenomenon" Thomas Muller at Bayern Munich, but was often
left with the sense that the World Cup winner was annoying him "on purpose".

Muller remains as important as ever to Bayern at 31, and has earned a recall to the Germany squad for Euro 2020. He has been part of Bayern's first-team set-up for over a decade, with 581 appearances and 214
goals, with his value never lost on his team-mates or coaches - despite boasting the ability to amaze and frustrate in equal measure.
 
Reading left-back Omar Richards is to join German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich this summer.

The 23-year-old, who joined Reading's academy in 2014, made his debut in August 2017 and has gone on to make 106 appearances for the Championship club. Richards, who rejected a new contract, will move as a free agent and has agreed a deal until 2025.

He will provide competition for Alphonso Davies at left-back as Bayern aim to bolster their defence.

David Alaba and Jerome Boateng have both left the six-time European champions after a ninth successive Bundesliga title, with highly-rated French central defender Dayot Upamacano moving to Bayern from RB Leipzig.

"My move to FC Bayern is a great honour for me," Richards told the club's website.

"A dream has come true. I'm proud to be wearing the shirt of one of the world's biggest clubs," he added.

Richards will wear the number three shirt at Bayern, suggesting he has not been signed merely as a squad player.

"Omar is a technically gifted player on the left side of defence," Bayern's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said.

"He finds good solutions going forward, he's very alert and we trust him to play a good role in our team."
 
Milot Rashica might be looking for a new home and Bayern Munich could be one of the clubs looking to oblige the 24-year-old. Per a report from Kosovar TV broadcaster

Germany have confirmed the appointment of Hansi Flick as their new manager on a contract to 2024. Flick, 56, takes charge after leaving bayernmunich at the end of the 2020-21 season. His contract starts after the forthcoming European Championship and sees him replace the outgoing Joachim Low.

"I am very happy to be able to work as national coach from autumn onwards," Flick said.

"The season has just ended and my two years at bayern munich. The team spirit and the attitude of the players were outstanding, and I'll take a lot with me that will continue to shape my work. I'm really looking forward to [the Germany job] because I can see the great quality of the players, especially the young players in Germany.

"That's why we have every reason to approach the upcoming tournaments with optimism, for example the European Championship at home in 2024. In addition, I know from best experience that with Oliver Bierhoff, I have a strong, trustworthy partner by my side and also with the team behind the team, so we can get started without a long build-up.

"I am also looking forward to contributing my ideas and ideas beyond the national team to the academy and the other national teams. Flick will lead Germany into the 2022 Qatar World Cup and arrives off the back of a trophy-laden spell at bayern.
