NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- College is a place of education and growth, but it's also a place where students can cut loose and have fun. Whether they head to a bar, a frat party or some other social gathering, students at the various institutions of higher learning across the country look forward to enjoying themselves.
So, which schools have the most intense party-goers? Where can we find the students who are ready to go at a moment's notice and who make other school's parties look like Chuck. E Cheese events by comparison?
Thanks to the folks at Niche, now we can find out for sure. Niche's College Prowler section contains a ranking service that allows users to sort through the thousands of U.S. colleges by almost any criteria imaginable. So let's use this to determine the top 10 "Party Girl" schools in America. This list includes the rating for each college from Niche users, most of whom are students at the universities or recent alumni. We've also included some of the most useful comments from those users.
So without further ado, let's get to the list...
10) Howard University
Location: Washington, DC
Niche Rating: 9.38/10
Comments: "The night life is exciting. There are always people looking for a party. This is a great school to turn up at on the weekends." - College Freshman
"Howard is also known as a party school. If you're under 21, there are tons of house parties and clubs who throw 18+ parties; but that limits you to stay within the Howard community. The 21+ spots, enables you mingle with just about anyone." - College Junior
9) Ohio University

Comments: "Nightlife for students can range from hanging out with friends in their dorms, going out to bars or clubs which are all fun if you're 21. On many off campus streets you are more than likely to find a house party where you're more than welcome to come in and have a fun time." - College Sophomore.
"When you think of OU you think of a top 10 party school. You dont have to walk very far to find the bars on courtstreet. At one point you can walk 50 feet and pass four bars in a row. The best part is how cheap the drinks are. A drink in Athens might cost three bucks while that same drink, and not as strong, would cost $6 or $7 at Ohio State. The best part is if you don't like one bar you can go to another that fits your type of atmosphere." - College Sophomore.

"If you're a girl, the parties are free and always welcome new people. There is no 'invite only' parties. There are blocks and blocks of parties, plenty of bars, over 21 and under, and plenty of opportunities for fun. If you are not having a good time here, then you must be doing something very wrong." - College Freshman
"If you're not into clubs and bars there are always tons of house parties going on. They will typically have a keg (or two or three) and you can drink as much as you want for $5. (More times than not this fee is strictly for guys and girls drink free...unless a girl is the host of the party)." - College Junior
7) University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Comments: "Every night of the week there will be a large amount of people drinking at the bars or at parties. The weekend starts Thursday here at U of I since most students have late classes or none at all on Friday. Most of the bars are 19+, so for some freshman the wait to gain entrance into the bars is only a couple months." - College Freshman

"Don't be fooled by the middle-of-nowhere location, Colgate nightlife is a seriously good time. As a friend of mine put it, the Colgate student body is made up of all those kids in high school who could make a good time out of anything. Frat parties are a major part of the social scene, especially for freshmen. The bars downtown are usually fun and usually pretty relaxed about letting people in." - College Sophomore

Comments: "You won't find a better college nightlife than the one you find at UCSB and Isla Vista. There are always parties and late-night food options in town, and a variety of party types as well. Something to do every night, whether on campus or in IV." - College Freshman

Comments: "With 23 bars in about six square blocks, Oxford has one of the highest bars per capita in the state. If you can't find one you like here, then good luck elsewhere." - College Junior
"Pretty much on any given day of the week it is possible to go out [and] party. Since the bars are 18+, it is fun to go uptown with friends on any night of the week to have fun." - College Freshman
"Miami is known as a work hard, play harder type of school, and on every given night, there is always something going on. With over 10 bars uptown, and most of them being 18+, one can never get bored. Also, with a big Greek community, there are a lot of frat parties and day drinks anyone can go to." - College Freshman
