Utangulizi
Kila teknolojia huanzia na ndoto, fikra bunifu za kubadilisha dunia. Kwa Tanzania, ndoto hiyo ina umuhimu wa kipekee katika kujenga taifa imara, linalowezeshwa na teknolojia ya kisasa. Hii ndio "TANZANIA TUITAKAYO."
Nyakati hizi za kidigitali, nchi yoyote isiyokubali mabadiliko ya kidigitali itakuwa nyuma katika mashindano ya kiuchumi na kijamii. Tanzania, kama nchi nyingine nyingi, inakabiliwa na changamoto mbalimbali katika kufuata mkondo wa teknolojia ya kisasa. Hata hivyo, tunapaswa kujenga Tanzania yenye mafanikio makubwa ya kiteknolojia na kuwa na mtazamo wa ubunifu na uvumbuzi.

Hata hivyo, bado kuna changamoto kadhaa zinazozuia ukuaji kamili wa sekta hii. Ambazo ni pamoja na:

Upatikanaji wa miundombinu duni:

Sehemu kubwa ya Tanzania bado haina huduma za intaneti za kuaminika na za kasi. Hii inazuia watu wengi kufikia fursa za mtandaoni. Kwa mujibu wa takwimu za mwaka 2023
-Kasi ya wastani ya intaneti ya simu za mkononi: 3G (2023)
-Watu wanaotumia intaneti: 8.1% ya wakazi (2023)


Ukosefu wa ujuzi wa kiteknolojia:
Kuna uhaba wa wafanyakazi wenye ujuzi wa kiteknolojia nchini Tanzania. Hii inafanya iwe vigumu kwa biashara kupata wafanyakazi wanaohitaji na kuendeleza teknolojia mpya.Kwa mujibu wa takwimu mbalimbali
  • Watu wenye ujuzi wa kompyuta: 21% ya wakazi (2020)
  • Wanafunzi waliojiunga na programu za STEM: 35% ya wanafunzi wa shule ya sekondari (2020)
  • Wahitimu wa vyuo vikuu katika nyanja za STEM: 4% ya wahitimu wote (2020)

Gharama kubwa wa huduma ya intaneti:
Teknolojia inaweza kuwa ghali kwa watu wengi nchini Tanzania.Wadau mbalimbali wameonesha kutokupendezwa na gharama za intanet kuwa juu mno
Hii inawazuia wanafunzi na wafanyabiashara kuendana na kasi ya sasa ya dunia ya leo.

Gharama kubwa ya vifaa vya kiteknolojia:
Kompyuta ya mkononi ya wastani inagharimu 40% ya mshahara wa kila mwezi (2023) ,lakini pia fifaa vingine kama simu janja zinagharama kubwa hivyo wananchi wengi hasa waishio vijijini kushindwa kumudu



Mapendekezo ya maboresho kwa Teknolojia ya Tanzania Ijayo
Ili kushinda changamoto hizi na kufikia maono ya Tanzania Tuitakayo, hatua zifuatazo zinapendekezwa:

Kuwekeza katika miundombinu ya kidijitali:
Serikali inapaswa kuwekeza katika kupanua upatikanaji wa huduma za intaneti za kasi na za kuaminika kwa watu wote nchini Tanzania. Hasa kwa maeneo ya vijijini

Kuimarisha mfumo wa elimu na mafunzo:
Kuongeza elimu ya sayansi, teknolojia, uhandisi na hesabu (STEM) katika ngazi zote za elimu ili kujenga rasilimali watu wenye ujuzi

Kuunga mkono ujasiriamali wa kiteknolojia: Serikali inapaswa kutoa motisha kwa vijana kuanzisha biashara za kiteknolojia. Hii itasaidia kukuza uvumbuzi na ukuaji wa sekta ya teknolojia.Ikiwemo uanzilishi wa kampeni mbalimbali za uvumbuzi mashuleni na vyuoni

Kuhamasisha matumizi ya teknolojia katika sekta mbalimbali: Kutumia teknolojia katika kilimo, afya, biashara, na sekta nyingine ili kuongeza tija na ufanisi.

Kuimarisha udhibiti na usimamizi: Kutengeneza sera na sheria madhubuti za kukuza na kusimamia ukuaji wa teknolojia nchini.

Kushirikisha sekta binafsi na jamii: Kujenga ushirikiano na sekta binafsi na jamii ili kupata uwekezaji, uvumbuzi, na ushiriki wa jamii katika maendeleo ya teknolojia



Hitimisho
Kwa uwekezaji unaofaa na sera sahihi, Tanzania inaweza kufikia maono yake ya kuwa kiongozi wa teknolojia barani Afrika. Teknolojia ina uwezo wa kuboresha maisha ya watu wa Tanzania kwa njia nyingi, ikiwa ni pamoja na kuunda ajira mpya, kuboresha huduma za afya, na kuimarisha uchumi. Kwa kushirikiana, serikali, sekta binafsi, na jamii zinaweza kuhakikisha kuwa Tanzania Tuitakayo inakuwa ukweli

Actually online it has been proven again again that the recognized / orthodox way of doing things does not always work and time and time again there comes a disruptive idea ambayo ina blow to bits everything else as we know it..., its a different ball game...

Sijasoma yeye amesema nini ila nimesoma ulichojibu wewe na umeweka kama kuna only one way to skin a cat ila kwenye unpredictable environment you can not predict the outcomes nor know the inputs before hand; a stupid idea but gain momentum and the otherwise brilliant idea might not gain any momentum...

Huko sasa na kwenyewe utakutana na business strategies kama ‘pure play online stores’, logistics strategies za (insourcing or outsourcing), dropshipping, fulfilment services na mlolongo wa maelezo mengine ya uchumi wa digital.

Kuelezea watu kutokuwa na simu bila ya kuambatanisha mapungufu hayo yanakwamisha vipi digital economy, ni nonsense tupu.

Kwanza kabisa kwa mtizamo wangu naona online ni kama muendelezo wa offline business ya mtu; kama una brick and mortal having an online presence is a must (inakuongezea medium ya wateja) sasa kama wewe unataka kuwa na online business per se wakati huku hauna kitu wala any service au product wala uzoefu nadhani unless unakuja na original idea (the uber, the mpesa, the betfair, the lastminute.com, the booking.com et al) yaani unakuja na kitu tofauti you are fighting a loosing battle.... na hata hapo nakushauri anzisha kitu kama hii pata community alafu wauzie kina facebook na google sababu wanaweza kuichukua idea yako wakaifanya bora zaidi na wewe kuwa obsolete (online the competition is just a click away) ndio maana watu wanashauriwa wawe na niche market na lazima uwe na kitu unique (be it distance, price au quality)

Na kama unataka ufanye a platform (kuunganisha wateja na wauzaji) kwa Bongo bado sana kutokana na SCAMS na Makodi yanayopelekea sometimes buying online iwe expensive ila kama unatumia online kama pre business ya ku advertise bidhaa alafu mmalizane baadae hapo sawa...

Considering where this discussion is going, ni wapi umeona huyu jamaa ame-mention eneo lolote la uchumi/biashara unayoongolea wewe ku support title yake ‘teknolojia ya sasa, ndio njia ya kujenga uchumi imara

Uoni kama title na context ya proposal yake havina uhusiano wowote, sasa kwanini mwanzo uni attack kumpa ukweli ya kuwa alichoandika ni pumba kuzingatia haja tie technology na uchumi wala consumer behaviour. Ilhali wewe mwenyewe sasa hivi unaongelea digital economy, vitu ambavyo huyo jamaa aja mention hata kimoja.

Uhitaji kila mtu kusoma IT ili digital economy ishamiri, watu walipogundua internet unaweza fikia mass market na mastering of internet secure protocol kuweza kufanya malipo online that’s only they needed kuanza biashara.

Lakini key to success ya digital economy ni distribution channels (storage depots), na shipping arrangements (logistic). Sasa fanya research utaona ni large retailers duniani ndio wenye uwezo huo wa kuwa na nationwide distribution centres za kuweka inventories na hata wao shipping labda ni kwa wholesalers wao wakubwa (internal logistics). Wengine wote strategy zao ni unga unga wanategemea industry zingine kufanikisha online business zao.

Kufanikisha large scale digital economy Tanzania ni bado sana, inahitajika shipping industry kwanza, contracts na wazalishaji kwa wajasariamali wadogo (hivyo viwanda vyenewe vipo wapi, labda China) watu wakuwawekea mizigo na kuwafanyia shipping (ziko wapi hizo supporting industries).

Ni hivi haya mambo kufanikisha unahitaji supporting industries na kuelewa business strategies zilizopo and what avenue to pursue given your capital resources limitations. Sasa kuelezea hayo kwa kina ni mlolongo mrefu ili kukuza digital economy. Ata ukisikia michango ya wabunge wakiongelea digital economy mifano yao huwa raisi kweli vichwa vyao.

Mimi humu mwanzo nilipenda the idea behind nikijua kwamba ukileta humu kitu unapata critical questions kwamba ni kwanini issue yako haiwezi kufanya kazi hivyo kujibu changamoto au kuboresha.... sasa matokeo yake ni kudos na kila mtu kusifia na nipe nikupe yaani nipe kura nikupe kura ili mmoja wetu apate kula (defies the whole point)..., Ingawa mara nyingine humu mtu unakuja kwa idea even if its badly written a good idea is a good idea..., lakini kwa ushauri kama mtu una good idea and you believe in it bora tengeneza prototype au proof of concept alafu uza idea yako (kuleta humu huenda ikawa nzuri sana au mpya watu wasielewe au kukatishwa tamaa)

All in all sio mbaya kuwapa watu motisha na kwa mtu mwenye muda anaweza akapitia humu uenda akapata a Eureka Moment au kama upo bored unaweza ukaamua kupitia humu kupiga watu spana (ila ndio hivyo watu hawapendi kukosolewa wanaweza kukuona namna gani vipi kumbe unawasaidia) au unawapa challenge wajibu kwa hoja....

Binafsi I prefer people who challenge rather than Yes men and women
