Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College is a constituent College of Tumatnt University Makumtra, owned by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania. Administrative positions:
DEAN - FACULTY OF MEDICINE
Qualifications and Experience:
A senior Academic staff possessing Medical qualifications e.g Doctor of Medicine (MD or (MBChB), Master of Medicine (MMed), or PhD/Postgraduate in Specialty of Medical related field with extensive knowledge, academic and administrative experience of more than three years In higher education.
A Faculty Dean shall be the Head of the Faculty — providing direction to the Faculty in carrying out Its functions, and shall be responsible to the Provost through the Deputy Provost for Academic Affairs in respect of:
DEAN - FACULTY OF NURSING
Qualifications and Experience:
A senior Academic staff possessing nursing qualifications e.g Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSc N), Masters and PhD in nurse related field with extensive knowledge, academic and administrative experience of more than three years in higher education.
A Faculty Dean shall be the Head of the Faculty — providing direction to the Faculty in carrying out its functions, and shall be responsible to the Provost through the Deputy Provost for Academic Affairs in respect of:

- Preparing budget and control votes of respective Faculty.
- Ensuring proper control and reporting of funds.
- Managing the resources allocated to the Faculty.
- Supervising, co-ordinating and overseeing the activities and functions of the respective Faculty Constituting the Board of the Faculty.
- Chairing meetings of the respective Board of Faculty.
- Advising the Deputy Provost for Academic Affairs on the appointment of Academic Heads of Departments.
- Supervision of Heads of Department.
- Be responsible to the Deputy Provost for Academic Affairs on all matters pertaining to academic administration in the respective Faculty.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Provost or Deputy Provost for Academic Affairs.
- Knowledge of academic programmes, academic programme planning, and evaluation techniques.
- Relevant experience in an academic environment distinguished by an excellent record of peer-reviewed publications, or comparable research accomplishments;
- Demonstrated teaching and administration in higher education;
- Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build consensus and work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
