Najiuliza maana ya upendo nini?

Mpaka uwe na kingi ndio ushee?
Au pesa kipindi michango ya sherehe?

Au mzazi anayetamani mtoto uendelee?

Ndio maana anakulea ile umlee
Inasadikika kuwa upendo wa kweli ni kujali

Mama mzazi homa ikikushika tu halali

Tabasamu analokupa unaposhika Masarali
Ungekuwa hai ingekuwa kutoa mimba ni halali?

Wazalendo wanahitaji hela na nyadhifa
Wanalipwa kutetea sera za taifa
Wadini wanakumbatia itikadi na imani yao

Mpaka wanamwaga damu za wenzao

Na mapenzi kwenye timu inapoingia mtimani
Unaumia inashika mkia na hauhami

Kufichiana dhambi tabia wanayoisifia masela
Au mjeshi anavyofia bendera?

Nani anajua siri ya kupenda penda?
(Ni) kujitoa sadaka kwa ajili ya mwenza?
Wapo wanaosema kuwa kupenda ni ushupavu
Wanaumizwa wanachukia wanaandika vitabu
Ukijua mwenza wako ana mtu anampenda
Utampa nafasi aende upige moyo konde?
Mama yako akifariki na una dawa ya kusahau maumivu
Swali ni utakula vidonge?
