(CA-USA) is calling for CVs of potential, qualified candidates for Warehouse Managers in support of the supply chain management system (SCMS) project located in Botswana, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Guyana, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Background
The Partnership for Supply Chain Management (PSCM) is implementing the Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) project for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). SCMS will strengthen or establish secure, reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable supply chains capable of meeting the care and treatment needs of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. In coordination with in-country and international partners, SCMS will assist programs to enhance their supply-chain capacity; ensure that accurate supply-chain information is collected, shared, and used; and provide quality, affordable, health care products to those who need them.
Crown Agents USA, a managing partner of the SCMS project, seeks potential, qualified Warehouse Managers to support the Supply Chain Management System Project in key focus countries.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring proper and systematic warehouse operations for the receipt, storage, distribution, inventory management and reporting of pharmaceuticals, related commodities, equipment and supplies in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). He or she will be responsible for the management and supervision of SCMS warehouse employees. This includes supervising and organizing the work of warehouse clerks to ensure that the quality of their work improves and to minimize mistakes. The Warehouse Manager will support other SCMS departments in maintaining supply chain security and ensuring coordination with the key partners and major stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, CNLS, TRAC, PEPFAR, Global Fund (GF), MAP and other USG partners.
Specific Responsibilities
•Participate in meetings to support the senior management team and coordinate meetings with MoH departments, clients, and donor agencies •Supervise, train, and oversee all warehouse floor staff •Support Short Term Technical Adviser (STTA) inputs and make recommendations for further STTA activities •Prepare time bound plan for reorganization of warehouse operations with clear milestones and dates •Reorganize all operational functions of receiving, picking, checking, packing, and dispatch, and security •Prepare comprehensive SOPS and prepare, coordinate and manage warehouse staff training to implement basic operations of receiving, picking, checking, packing, and dispatch, as well as supervision, security and safety •Institute bin location system and storage of products according to results of ABC analyses and principles of FIFO and FEFO •Make recommendations for equipment and shelving procurement and staff recruitment •Coordinate on the job training and technical assistance exchange visits •Provide monthly and quarterly reports of warehouse operations
Qualifications
•Fluency in English required; Fluency in French desired •Degree in Pharmacy or a related field desired and/or related work history and experience considered •Minimum 5 years or more successful experience in warehouse operations •Prior demonstrated experience managing a large scale commodity warehouse in East or Central Africa preferred
